My graduation show was on last Friday and after this, I guess I won't be furthering my studies just yet. I'm totally not prepared for a life that does not comprise school after having been a student for more than a decade.
Gone are the days where the only weight that rested on my shoulders was the next submission. 3 years in an institution where despite the stress and crap, I've grown to adore. Not because of the school itself, mind you. Heh. More of the friends and the design spirit. ( Design students are snobby assholes who think we're better than all the other schools, by the way. That's why we go all out to annoy the heck out of them during camps which is completely illogical to anyone but ourselves. :))
After the designers walked the stage and when we were all backstage, some were cheering and some were tearing.I realised that this was it. The end of long hours in school (by long I mean 15 hours kind of long), daily trips to Cheers, running to the studios of other courses, long lunch breaks at the bbu, camps, all that and more, seem to have been like a dream in the way it has passed so quickly.
The memories of the first day I stepped in TDS for the orientation camp is still clearly etched in my head. Hell, I even remember what I wore. Year 1 was probably a breeze compared to the other 2 years. The latest I stayed in school was 7-8pm and we were going to town every other day.
Year 2 was crazy shit cos we were all starting to go in depth into our courses. I sucked at sewing ( Still suck at it now, just not as much) and ADP was hell.
Year 3 was relatively easier since we had gotten used to the pace of the course. Then there was SIP, and FYP.
I guess I really did muddle through most of the 3 years and voila, graduated. It's weird to hear myself called a graduate cos I still think of our seniors as the graduates.
But yeap, despite the complaining and all, I'll miss you TDS.
Temasek Design School - The Design Show 2011 (Vivo City 08 April 2011)

Reached Vivo at 5 in the morning and did all the preparation work (putting up booths, steaming clothes etc)
Was at Gabby's place for the night watching Alice in Wonderland, painting our nails and sewing all the finishing on our garments.

Backstage at the amphitheatre before the show started.

& the unexpected bunch of friends who stuck together after camp despite being in different courses. :)
